I felt prompted to clear out a heavily shaded area on our property a week ago, and a large accumulation of leaves and plant material caught my eye.

Later in the week I learned about the Korean natural farming method of finding an area with strong mycelium and bacterial growth to culture into a fermented soil amendment. I thought about that pile I saw earlier in the week, and sure enough it was filled with white mycelium growth. So I set up my first fermentation experiment. Feel like I’m on a path. Excited to see how it goes.

Lactobacillus is amazing! Fermenting various plants/weeds for their particular compounds can replace buying fertilizer, or other amendments.

Nice! Post pics!!!
