Quake 1 was just as groundbreaking NIN, soundtrack!!!.
Quake II as ok. Rockets were too slow.
Quake III Arena… wow. Deathmatch perfected. Railgun was magical. We used to play CTF mod everyday at Blur for 45 minutes. The entire company! Good times.
As a young dev in my twenties, our team would play a couple rounds of Quake together after a day in the fiat mines.
