The Big TOE is a behemoth and is extremely frustrating to read. I finished it a few weeks ago. It's one of the few books I wouldn't highly recommend just because the style of writing really interrupted my intense interest in the subject. I would highly recommend Tom Campbell's AI Guy, he basically uploaded all of his material including extensive videos. He himself claims the AI Guy answers any questions how he would 99.98% of the time.
