Real estate is a shitcoin
Anomaly or corruption?
I know at least one person that backed out of a move to el sal over concerns about property rights - or lack thereof. I wonder is this happening to a lot of people.
I read the entire thread from him. His neighbor lady accused him of calling her stupid, and insisted on filing charges, which could have put him away for 8 years, so no, I won't be moving to El Salvador. It sounds worse in some sense than the UK.
i'm not from the UK, so i don't know how "gender law" works there.
If a woman goes to the police claiming whatever "attack" on her (going from insulting her to actually hitting her).
How does the UK police react and how much trouble can a man get into even tho there would be no evidence to support the woman's claim ?
Apparently, a one-off calling a woman stupid is unlikely to result in legal action in the UK.
it wasn't a one-off calling, she went to the police claiming that she have been "threatened" and that was enough.
which sound super stupid to be enough to go to jail, the only reason we wasn't arrested was that the case became public and there was enough pushback.
Had it been someone else it'd have been a long long case.
I didn't say it was a one off calling. I was answering your question about the UK.
The story I passed on was directly from Jon's posts on X.
