Weekends are tough. With kids 2 and 5 there are limited things to do (2 yo gets unreasonably fussy). That means another day at the park (one of few places where all hell doesn’t break loose 😂)
Maybe I’ll stream some more tonight if anyone cares…

5... I think that might just be old enough to introduce him to the climbing gym.
Welcome to dad life 😂💜
Something that works relatively well for me (but I admit I don't know if it's relevant in this particular case) is to negotiate and try to reach an agreement well in advance, and then stick to it.

Swimming pools for the win (four kids 1, 7, 14, 16). In and out the pool all day long 😆
If they get bored of that cards (yep the 2 yr old will throw them on the ground and think that's heaps of fun), duplo blocks, hot wheels cars go everywhere, sticks, seashells if you're near the ocean and find some ducks to feed. Try and enjoy every moment, they grow up way too quickly 💜🧡💛🥰
It seems here in Japan inground pools are not really a thing - maybe due to earthquakes?
We do have an above ground pool but it’s limited in what you can do in it. Kids love it and swim all the time. We haven’t set it up this year yet.
Older one goes to a bigger pool where he takes classes. But we don’t do that very often.
We do live near the ocean so go to the beach often. That’s always the most fun for them but is a lot of work, so I can’t do it as often as they’d like.
That sounds so cute
I care! At least you're past the newborn / 2 year old phase. We can't do shit at night but go to bed when when we finally get the kids down.
Some days are still like that but it’s gotten better.
It would be much easier with just the 5 yo but the two of them fight nonstop - a different dynamic with 2 kids.
