Regulations do nothing but destroy markets, destroy products, and turn the focus away from building great things into a box checking exercise with a huge entry fee only affordable by a handful of huge corporations.

Centralized, monopolistic regulation is fucking stupid and only leads to corruption and incompetence.

That’s wild!

Crazy but I am not surprised either and a modern refrigerator would not only cost more it would probably die with the door off for a week. When I bought a fridge about to year ago I said "I want a fridge that will last, the last only lasted about 11 years". the guys selling me a fridge kinda laughed and said. "you'll probably get 7-8 years out of a new fridge, 11 years would be surprising, these aren't built like our parents fridges, these are built to be replaced". This was the guy selling me the fridge, I mean I am glad he didn't just BS me as many sales people would but that's crazy a fridge now is a disposable item. When I was a teenager my buddies parents had a fridge from the 60s in there basement it was already so nice and cold they moved a couple years back and I asked about the fridge they said it still worked great they just didn't want to.move it out of the basement as it weighed a ton (not literally) so it stayed with the house.

The hell…

You don’t hate your government enough.

Because I’m disgusted by the experiment results? WUT?

lol, no I’m agreeing with you that it’s crazy and the govt is responsible 😆

Want one

Illegal today

With perfect hard money, innovation, productivity, and competition drive prices down to their marginal cost. With fiat, prices rise as more money gets printed. To keep prices low without raising too much suspicion, a crony capitalist government forces everyone to reduce the quality of their products because innovation and productivity gains are not enough. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
