This has not happened for the last 6 months. Fees are pretty pretty low for long time now. People move billions for couple of dollars transaction fee. We also have #LightningNetwork and #Ecash

Earlier this year WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY BEING USED
The logical conclusion of increasing adoption means many more user bidding to get their transactions in the limited blockspace = growing fees. Even lightning breaks when that happens like we saw earlier this year.
It's stupid to bring up Ecash. It's not even the same category as Bitcoin or Monero. It's custodial and doesn't remove trusted third parties.
