I’ve always been into watches since like middle school. So random how this interest developed. Anybody else? #asknostr

My grandfather initiated me to all things beautiful and it continued with my dad.

I especially love the old pocket watches.

I have always found them magnificent!

If you have deep pockets and a taste for refined artefacts:

Vacheron Constantin, Breguet, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Jaeger-LeCoultre are on a league of their own.

As the saying goes:

"You don't own one, you merely look after for the next generation."

Pocket watches are a bit too classy for me. I can definitely appreciate the work involved in creating that thing.

Watches are so fun. After buying a few I like the idea of just owning one. Using the heck out of it and then swapping for a different one or wearing it till it’s broken.

Less is definitely more as I get older

I don’t have any pocket watches, thought about getting at least one for the collection just to have for when I wear a suit. For everyday use, it get smashed at work and I don’t generally have empty enough pockets for one.

Its just one of those "men like objects, women like people" autistic interests we get.

Haha well said. Men definitely like tools and trinkets

Yeah, I don’t have a high end collection, I think I may have one that’s couple hundred fiat… but I definitely like watches

What is your grail watch?
