In anticipation of our daughter’s arrival end of November, friends and family are getting us baby books.
One of my closest friends from college got us a book and wrote a personal note for her in it that brought a tear to my eye. It reads:
“Always know that you are so special, just as you are. And being who you are makes the world so much more exciting!”

Best of luck. Having kids is a total game changer. Really bloody hard but so worth it. Even when they are be a-holes it’s just about the most rewarding thing you can do and makes preserving something for the future much more pertinent.
Also, enjoy the first 6 weeks. It flys by, but there is something magical about a new born.
When our daughter was born, someone gave us a drink coaster with the quote, “Babies are such a nice way to start people.”
