The reality is that USA and Russia can come to a deal with regard to Ukraine, but if Ukraine and the EU say no, there is no deal and Trump has achieved nothing besides alienating his closest allies. Ofcourse Trump can start threatening to stop aid to Ukraine, but a quick deal will be out of sight.
