Yesterday watched a travel show about Bangkok. Holy fuck: rent prices ~$500 per month in the downtown high riser condos. Holy fuck! That would cost in Chicago ~$6k per month

And in Chicago you'd get all of the added shite like, no stores being open due to shoplifting as well as crime like shootings and all of the things as well like Chicago stating that it's a sanctuary city and having diseases spike up due to all of the people seeking sanctuary. I'd rather live in Bangkok in a high rise but I'm still fiat mining in Chicago for some time.

Comparing cost of living without looking at wages gives a distorted picture

If you can work remote it's a great option.... Honesty if I would have computer skills I'd travel around...

Just yesterday I was thinking about that... Remote work will ether equalise wages (bring them closer together) or simply make it impossible to work in those fields wile staying in t he "western world"
