As long as we can toggle types of notifications, we should be fine.

that’s a good point, I believe there should be one more row in the Side menu for Notification (just like there’s for Bookmark) which consists of lists of notification toggles that the user can turn on/off.

imo it should not live there as the side menu should be for things frequently visited and edited. I believe notification settings should be in settings because ideally it’s modified only once or twice.

Agree. Mentions is my inbox. Where I spend most of my time. Anything to get me there faster helps the conversation.

gossip is trying out a unified inbox…with mentions and DMs in one view. Worth playing with. We looked at this at Twitter. Has to be done carefully as it’s a context shift.

Though, DMs on nostr are sort of broken and perhaps it’s better they are left out of clients for now and instead single purpose apps are explored for them. Maybe current clients only focus on public conversation and get that to the most excellent state.

This makes sense and an is efficient approach. Seeing the in-app notifications will help us know that whether the conversation (that you are mentioned in) is important for us to respond immediately or not. So that we don’t have to go to the Notification page and check every time.
