Jesus was not a friend of the state. He was not a reformer. He was not a minister with a beard. Jesus was an anarchist. Not in the silly punk sense, but in the true sense: radically opposed to authority, radically opposed to coercion, radically opposed to moral administration. His entire work was directed against institutionalized power, both religious and political. Against the priestly caste, legal fetishists, and the alliance between temple and state.

And that is precisely why he was crucified.

Not by "the bad guys," not by caricatures. But by exactly the type of people who today portray themselves as morally superior. By believers in the state. By statists. By people who are convinced that they are allowed to act in the name of good. By force, if necessary.

Jesus healed without a license.

He preached without permission.

He dispensed morality without office.

He evaded all control. And that was his real crime.

"Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's" was not praise for the state, but a declaration of contempt: Take your money, take your filth, but leave my soul alone. Jesus promised the state nothing. No loyalty. No allegiance. No salvation of the existing order.

He spoke of the Kingdom of God; not administered, not taxed, not enforced. Voluntary. Internal. Without police.

And now comes the bitter part:

If Jesus were to appear today, the same people who adorn themselves with his name would crucify him. The ones who "take a stand." The ones who "take responsibility." The ones who know exactly what is good for others.

He would be a "threat."

A "nutcase."

A "populist."

An "unsolidary element."

He would violate regulations, use the wrong words, heal the wrong people, and refuse to confirm the correct morality on a form.

Jesus was not a left-wing redistributor.

He was not a state utopian.

He was not a friend of collective coercive happiness.

He did not force anyone to follow him.

He let people go. Always.

And that is precisely what is unbearable for statists.

For those who truly preach voluntary morality expose every enforced virtue for what it is: violence with a clear conscience.

Jesus did not die because he was kind.

He died because he did not submit.

And that is why he still does not fit into their programs today.

Merry Christmas.
