Yes and it’s highly dependent on topic and mood. I tend to hold on longer if there’s something in it for me (e.g., I learn how to do something new). It also depends how it’s written and if it flows. I tend to gravitate towards writing that is heavy on analogies, metaphors, and humorous irony too. Like if the topic is non-fiction, I enjoy writing that has some creativity and intrigue as opposed to just sequencing facts and events. I also really like it when there’s personal antidotes or real life comparisons included, anything that makes it more meaningful and relatable.

i do sometimes.
i am more likely to read to the end if it is coherent, has a defined structure, and i have an idea of how much time commitment is required. the latter is mostly a ux issue in readers whereby seeing scroll position is often adequate.

The topics were varied but all of them were well-written: so structure & a story-like narrative are what interested me.
