Probably my only concession to fad-ish, anti-science-ish dietetics is "pro-biotics yoghourt" (specifically yoghourt).

I swear, when I first started having one a day, a feeling of general well-being and a measurable digestive improvement were almost immediate.

Likewise, when due to travel I stop my routine, I almost immediately feel it too.

So yeah, this is one that so far apparently the science is shaky, yet my own personal direct experience tells me it works (for me).

I was the same with milk kefir. Suffered allergies to dary and wheat for years, started eating kefir for breakfast and have not had a problem.

Oh man I tried kefir some time ago. I'm an omnivore, the opposite of a squeamish eater. But I couldn't make it a habit. I'm glad it worked for you!

I get the store stuff that is identical to yoghurt. Just slightly broader spectrum of microbes

Interesting to know, thanks. There isn't a lot of variety where I live.
