I had a friend who talked so much that even if you managed to get a word in, he wouldn’t know what you’re saying.

It goes both ways. If you expect people to listen fully, then speak substantive things and don’t waste time.

Valid point. I probably know a person or two like that as well. But what is it that they are really trying to express with so many words? Helps to keep my tolerance strong. 😂

Usually that. But some do need to think out loud, to articulate and hear themselves say something, to process it. And then I just need to listen, and help them do that…
