Got rekt many times by the stock market before I found crypto in early 2018 at the worst possible time. Got rekt by that so bad I gave up and went back to the stock market to get rekt some more. Came back to crypto in 2021 and almost got rekt again, but I figured out Bitcoin just in time to save myself. I had some pretty big unrealized rektage for the past year and a half, but I never sold.
Truth, the markets are a tempting mistress. I don’t have it out of my system yet and I still really want to try my hand at trading.
I still play with options in relatively small amounts for fun. Mostly just selling covered calls though, not too risky. I wouldn't recommend trying to be a trader. You'll never beat the high frequency traders running algos.
