I think we might have a different idea about freedom.

If I have to escape to the mountains for some reason, I'm not free

If it's an escape, I agree, there's no freedom. I personally choose to live in pure nature because freedom for me is being in harmony with it. I'm only learning this myself, and I love to share the experience with others. But currently not too many people are able to live in tune with nature anymore. That's why I have a calling to live in the mountains, forests, plains and islands, to heal, to learn about balance and harmony with Earth. That responsibility for me is an essential part of freedom.
