I asked a very similar question recently ... and these were the replies. Nothing perfect yet, but it (hopefully) points in some promising directions.
Microsoft about to go Bitcoin? The board recommends to vote against.

These fakish troll clips are dangerous for any credibility of freedom advocates. Gotta be careful here.
Anyone know why we shouldn't be destroying these people?
I got nothing.

What?? That's hyper unreal.

Holy moly. Is this an AI voice over?
Exactly! Here's a guide for setting up your relays on Amethyst. But honestly, it doesn't work very well for me ... I seem to be missing loads of posts of follows and reach myself. And I really have no idea what to change and how to get sufficient information about relays.

Yeah. In music metal heads most of the time are really kind-hearted, lovely folks.
On the bright side ... there's a good chance he'll make a good amount of fiat over the next months with this 😂
I know the feeling all too well. You do your best, the rest is their responsibility. You carry on with joy and vigor 🙏
You can use Sovryn. You keep self-custody of your BTC and there's no KYC. On RSK (Rootstock). You'd need to invest a little time to understand how it works and if it suits you.
Indeed. What would the Jedi say about Anakin?
(as usual, believing it's necessary for the greater good)

Looks fantastic ... enjoy! (without signal)
👀 This is highly interesting. ZK rollups on Bitcoin sound like a surge of possibility for an expanding Bitcoin economy, including for privacy.
I hope Edan Yago, BitcoinOS and Sovryn will soon post their updates on Nostr.
Throughout known history humankind was searching for the optimal way to have slaves for tough physical labor and chores. Here is the for now most ethically correct machine for that.
But only if it's open sourced and not dependent on OTA software updates etc. You know, not like a Tesla. Else we keep on enslaving ourselves through the backdoor.
Now, if we'd only know what to do with our external freedom and look to find it within first of all 😉
💯
Now, let's all learn to be free! Not free in the sense of I can do whatever I want. That's not freedom. But in the sense of connection, beauty, love and responsibility.
Haha, yeah, I don't like singling us or anyone out. Because just as nostr:nprofile1qqsxhqw8cylmgtc7l2c484vdpe9fykavxeqe0ywxdhyy2unucxlh94gpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wdmksetjv5hxxmmd9u7u20t4 said, I also was and still am some of these things to a certain degree. The process of increased awareness can take time. With that in mind and though it can be frustrating to see, in my view the best is to do us, yes, to be that rock and be what we'd like to see in the world, free without pressure.
Yes, let's do it! And enjoy the experience 🫂
I'm in the same mood today 😅 Just had a conversation with a friend. It's a sad reality. At the same time becoming aware and changing these patterns is exactly the crux of human awakening.
Now, what's our challenge here? Accept this reality. Accept that obviously real change can never come through force. And then remain realistic, optimistic, constructive and continue to act joyfully and lovingly, be a rock in the stormy sea. Life is so beautiful and interesting!
I often think of people like Jiddu Krishnamurti or Ramana Maharshi who did their thing all the while witnessing WWI and WWII.
This can still be frustrating on Nostr:
Amethyst on mobile is my go-to client. I just went to Primal desktop and saw many notifications and messages that didn't come through on Amethyst. Now, I want to reply in desktop with Primal, but I repeatedly get the message "No relay confirmed reception of your message within 8 seconds." 😵💫
I think if we dream about Nostrs widespread adoption, besides anything else, these things gotta work more seamlessly.
Does anyone know if I myself can do anything better in terms of relay management to prevent this?

Great! I heard about such a building communities for housing from after WWII times in Eastern Germany as well. Definitely revivable. Just need a looower time preference.
I also agree with you that if within ~10 years of good work you're able to afford property, then the young generation wouldn't mind working hard first. I personally grew up with that mindset and it didn't occur to me to buy real estate without having earned enough beforehand. Only once I realized that in most Western countries housing prices are through the roof is that I hesitantly started considering credit.
This was a very worthwhile podcast with nostr:nprofile1qqsyx708d0a8d2qt3ku75avjz8vshvlx0v3q97ygpnz0tllzqegxrtgpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wdmksetjv5hxxmmd9uchr0qv and nostr:nprofile1qqs2xs05tluhtr6hpgsmqqxp04898gayjlyrjlexcrndv8j6el784xqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wdmksetjv5hxxmmd9ugxrggw because it opened the debate of credit in a future Bitcoin world 🙏
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7XhzXMSAPo&t=8410Not
It raises my eyebrow when Michael speaks of putting consumers' BTC into custody of "trustworthy banks" to earn yield 🤔
- Why would banks alone provide such services? In a real Bitcoin world, can't there be peer-to-peer, decentralized, self-custody borrowing and lending? Wouldn't that be worthwhile to build and support? It's being done, but the Bitcoiner resentment is strong.
It also makes me listen carefully when Saifedean responds that credit eventually only works with a lender of last resort and that with a deflationary currency credit will be less and less attractive over time.
- I would have loved if Michael had given Saifedean more opportunity to elaborate on that. However, at the moment, I also see credit as driver for economic activity, for sure in a transition period, but even in a Bitcoinized world. Interest rates play the role as the price of money. There won't be that massive fractional reserve lending anymore ... but still, especially on a peer-to-peer decentralized basis, simple lending and borrowing seem like natural activities, no?!
Now, even with Bitcoin as deflationary currency creating abundance in society through falling prices all around, wouldn't there still be the demand for credit finance? nostr:nprofile1qqsg86qcm7lve6jkkr64z4mt8lfe57jsu8vpty6r2qpk37sgtnxevjcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpp3mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7qgkwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx7mnnv968xtn0wfnsurtqc6
I think that's a highly relevant topic for Bitcoiners to wrap their head around and I'd be glad to read/hear more about it and go through possible scenarios 🙏
Tl;dr
Fellow Bitcoiners,
After nostr:nprofile1qqs2xs05tluhtr6hpgsmqqxp04898gayjlyrjlexcrndv8j6el784xqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wdmksetjv5hxxmmd9ugxrggw recent appearance on nostr:nprofile1qqsyx708d0a8d2qt3ku75avjz8vshvlx0v3q97ygpnz0tllzqegxrtgpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsvge3uc podcast, I'd love to see content openly and constructively debating how credit, even if decentralized and peer-to-peer, won't work and isn't a good idea in a hyperbitcoinized world. Leave the higher morale, the ridiculing memes aside and let's constructively onboard more people with uplifting and convincing ideas. Because that question pops up a lot.
I may not like it, but Michael Saylor has a realistic vision for a fiat world based on Bitcoin, one that most of his fellow entrepreneurs will appreciate. What's the vision of a "true, full potential, decentralized, deflationary" Bitcoin world? Can you share some good material? nostr:nprofile1qqsd3086elxcwhgevfgmp60u66fjl9swytj960nvcjxgnzgh42tkgkcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp07f6lda nostr:nprofile1qqsxu35yyt0mwjjh8pcz4zprhxegz69t4wr9t74vk6zne58wzh0waycpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9uq3samnwvaz7tmxd9k8getj9ehx7um5wgh8w6twv5hsj7hdd2
I appreciate the vision of nostr:nprofile1qqsg86qcm7lve6jkkr64z4mt8lfe57jsu8vpty6r2qpk37sgtnxevjcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpp3mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7qgkwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx7mnnv968xtn0wfnsurtqc6 a lot. Very different, but also Edan Yago has interesting thoughts.
Let's make it as imaginable as possible 🙏
Merci!
Example:
In a world denominating everything in Bitcoin. I am 24 years old and like to start with a great business idea, buy land and renovate a house. Where will I get the money from if I don't have it right now? But I am highly confident that with my youth and vigor I will produce value for society with my business. I can't? I have to work 10 years as an employee before, to be able to generate the capital myself before starting a business?
Alright, say somebody is willing to lend me 1 BTC for my business (peer-to-peer, self custodial, on an open decentralized protocol). The lender doesn't even take interest, but just wants the 1 BTC back over 10 years. With the appreciating value of Bitcoin vis-à-vis all goods and service - say still 10% per year - repaying is tricky enough. So, one may argue providing credit will become very unattractive. Still, the need for urgent economic activity will remain for people. How does a purely Bitcoinized world address these needs? Or in a world of abundance these needs won't be prevalent anymore?
I'm really open and think it's fun to go through these scenarios. All will happen for the best 🙏
This is a lovely short video about your daily proof-of-work, about the power of being present, about not caring about reward and success, about faith, about stoicism, about what it means to be human, about the power of love ... and how all this is connected 🧡🌿

Ahh nice, a very interesting entry, indeed. 2021 beginner's class was not the easiest, wasn't it 😅 ?!
Habla news and Highlighter seem to be working best and looking good at this point 😉
Each autumn, we migrate south to Patagonia – not just for its untamed beauty, but as a testament to sovereign living. The unspoiled wilderness speaks a language our souls understand.

We've established our own 'node' along a deep blue river there. It's more than a camp; it's our proof-of-work for harmonious, self-reliant existence. Where nature and personal sovereignty intersect.

Everything we have onsite needs to be floated in across the river.

Water, the lifeblood of any camp. With the help of a great friend, we built running water systems and reservoirs to sustain all the water needs of our camp.

In this digital age, even the wilderness needs a connection. We bridged worlds by setting up Starlink internet access for remote work and communications purposes. Starlink = Game changer

We built a crow's nest hideaway nestled in the trees. Yoga spot, thinking perch, great spot to chill after a plunge in the river.

Our crown jewel: a geodesic dome tent. Light enough to float across the river, yet durable enough to withstand Patagonia's temperamental weather.

We sourced materials locally and repurposed what we could.

The milled oak was beautiful but heavy. We pivoted to galvanized steel framing for the base, a reminder of staying flexible and to search for solutions through technology gains.

Most of our interior beams came from river driftwood, collected and floated to camp. Nature's discards became our treasures.

https://v.nostr.build/MlPX9BKlwhAYv9sV.mp4

A wood stove for warmth, electric wiring for light, and running water for comfort. Simple luxuries that make a world of difference in the backcountry.

This project is our commitment to a new way of living – one that respects both natural law and individual sovereignty and a “camp” that is robust enough to host our friends, family, and more!

Magnificent!! This is such an awesome example for living in harmony with nature 🤩
We're living off-grid in pure nature ourselves, reconnecting with Earth every day a little more, learning by doing. What you are doing there looks like natural next level to me. Amazing!
First time I come across your profile and look forward to following you along. Greetings from the Peloponnese!
