I talked to an author a lot this weekend, and an amusing thing she said was that romance authors tend to be kind of mean, and people who write horror or violent thrillers tend to be nice.

If there's truth to that, I guess the theme would be that people like to write about what they're not. It's a way to explore or express something that they don't otherwise explore or express in their real life.

I wonder if you can say the same thing about readers?

So wait. Your NOT a financial genius? (Did my check to see how many of these reps were already made.)

This implies you should write about people that are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, who are uninterested in thought or analysis and cannot string an argument together - I guess they may also be no-coiners. 🤣

art in all forms is abstract expression

Yeah. In music metal heads most of the time are really kind-hearted, lovely folks.

It's often that way. Showhost Conan seems an asshole on TV but is the complete opposite in real life. Ellen ist the exact opposite. Same goes for most politicians.

Your book is so well organized and easy to read. Does that mean you're chaotic in real life? :D

I love this a lot. Thanks for sharing

I find it’s the same with actors

So. Fucking. True.

What does that tell about you Lyn if you’re writing a sci-fi novel?

I bet the same applies to video games. Too bad no one seems to understand this these days.

So you're uneconomical??

🔥🔥🔥 y e s

well, I‘m really nice - sometimes

I write in #Nostr and zap #BTC, ergo I am awesome.

I author shitposts.

But in real life, I tend to dispense timely, non-stop wisdom and insights 24/7, for balance.

Reminds me of something similar with real life interactions; the quietest people may have the loudest minds, the seemingly happiest people may be the saddest internally.

You never know whats lying behind the scenes.

Of course there is no truth to that.

One can't generalise such statements.

BTW, Stephen King is not a nice person.

"I have the heart of a little boy,

in a jar on my desk"
