OMG they're discussing Euclidean geometry!

And look - it's the Parallel Line Postulate.

That's the postulate that says if two lines intersect a third in such a way that the sum of the inner angles on one side is less than the sum of two right angles, then those two lines must inevitably intersect each other on that side if the lines are extended far enough.

Maths is so exciting!

In two dimensional geometry only. (They must be in the same plane)

Non parallel skew lines don’t meet, in 3d. And 4d is just crazy.

Missing the co-planar point.
