(Not really a huge fan of the lotus eaters podcast) but I've noticed 'commemts turned off' more and more..didn't realise it was imposed by YouTube and not a choice of the channel.
Would be great to get a nostr 'comment on anything' -type plugin or something going. Think there was someone working on it. I also believe another (non-nostr) one has been banned from plugin places 🤔

there has been some several attempts at this but one that runs on #nostr would be killer

the only thing i'd say about it is - it would help if the actual HTML of the URL was preserved with it so we can snap their lying asses doing lies
I have a feeling that the reason for this is different. YouTube tries to eliminate the invidious instances so they change this regularly and the same happens now again. Either they are cooking some big, or they missed the ingredients. That's what i think.
Not sure what you mean 🤔 I barely ever use invidious tbh. I think it's YouTube saying that these channels aren't moderating their comments section enough. It seems to be channels which often get banned and demonestised. Can't tell if this is a way of keeping the channel up, or if it's a form of warning, like being in a naughty corner.
Maybe that's the case. I just have heard many complaining. All them banned and demonetised? I don't think so, but not sure also.
I think the lotus eaters people have had their channel taken down before, can't remember now. Or maybe it was just videos taken down 🤔. Pretty sure they're demonestised too tho. 🤔
The thing about this kind of shit, is that it's a sliding scale. They might be doing it to people you don't like today, but it could easily be somebody you do like tomorrow, so you just have to reject censorship when it rears it's ugly head.
Yep. I don't particularly like or dislike the lotus eaters podcast people, more surprised the new culture forum (the person who made the tweet) get this censorship for their comments section.
Yeah, surely person making the comment should get a warning, not the fucking channel? Look man, they are hell bent of censoring the shit out of the internet, it's not a secret or anything.
