Thanks, it's good they took the time for this write-up, but hard-disagree on the premise.

A phone-number is increasingly linked to PII, and thus, so too become your Bitcoin purchases.

I and a lot of people I know do NOT have phonebook contacts as the main contacts page - Instead, linking this to Nostr, or potentially other social media platforms would've been a better way as it gave users a chance to not inherently attach PII.

Regardless of Vexl's future plans with ID, this is a risk that may come back to not only bite them, but especially their own users.

But your phone numbers aren’t linked to any trades or anything related to bitcoin your phone number is never leave your device. They are hashed locally in the has has built out your network, but the data of separation means that the nothing is ever connected so there is nothing that could connect to your phone number to a bitcoin trade so I’m still not quite sure you understand how we deal with the data, but I’m here and happy to answer.
