Was that a silly answer? I frequently download podcasts, videos etc and then use the record function to save the section I want.

Also surely just about anything by NCH - videopad etc. Maybe I've misunderstood the requirements here.
I do all my podcast listening while walking. I can’t sit and listen so I need a smartphone app that allows me to quickly clip a part of a podcast I’m listening to and save it as a mp3. I don’t want to do any of it on desktop
