That’s definitely true.
This might be harsh but honest first thought. A .eth probably doesn't understand the tradeoffs with decentralization. Not ragging on Mastodon because before Nostr it was probably the best decentralized option.
Lol please let .eth heads stay in whatever fantasy land they choose, keep nostr signal only

I’ll play devils advocate, I think nostrils need to be able to compare and contrast with the other protocols out there. I can steel and strawman bluesky and mastodon ad infinitum… I am not so wistful in being able to do this for farcaster or lens. the fact most of the comments here just want to avoid doing this by dismissing someone who might be mislead or purposefully hostile is a really poor argument that is why I think identifying with crypto-nouns be it bitcoin or shitcoin is nostrs biggest hurtle.

I will say from a quick dive into these other two, that anyone who prefers farcaster to lens is on the right track to be converted to nostr.
The best I can do to steelman a blockchain based social media like lens is they do get some improved UX from the strict singleton (no partial truths depending what relays you've got). The obvious argument is the UX is worthless if the rollup can't scale enough (either fees go up or decentralization goes down)

if people who used bitcoin would stop playing identity politics and drop the “bitcoiner” “#bitocoin” bullshit you would gain so much traction in conversion and instantly mark any.eth as unnecessarily hostile. But looking at the comments here nostr seems like a bunch of illogical nitwits who don’t have the ability to steel/strawman other protocols.
