The new #toyota Tacoma looks awesome. But they say they went 4 cyl turbo for gas mileage. It is rated 20 mpg combined. My 2007 4runner with a 4.0 V6 averages 22. 🤷♂️ #truckstr

Everybody is getting rid of their V6s. Can't buy a new V6 Accord either. Terrible. My new car (2017 Ford fusion) has a 1.5L 4-cyl and it literally gets the same mileage that my 2013 Accord with a 3.5L V6 got, but it's not nearly as fun to drive.
Don't forget about emissions. A 4cyl will pass an emissions test better then a 6 cylinder. The tests are run under ideal conditions with no boost. Then I'm the real world you guzzle gas because of the extra air I'm being pushed to maintain proper air fuel ratios to get you the power numbers and keep it from grenading.
These smaller engines are just as much about emissions as they are at fuel economy
