No. There are a lot of difference.
It’s mainly all about time. Time IS the difference.
The Millionaire has to WAIT for his flight or medical treatment. The Billionaire just jumps into his helicopter or goes straight to his own clinic.
Agree. A Million or two sounds like a lot but wasn’t that the case 10 years ago. You cannot even buy a house in a major metro area below 1M. The it is difficult to live off passive income from the other 1M left. So you then need again work for someone else or run a company to make up the difference which obviously costs your time.
When time is hard currency then the author is wrong at least his threshold is too low. I guess today for a decent lifestyle you need more when you freely want to enjoy your time in a permission-less manner.

20-30m is more realistic. But still need to have it "invested", if we are talking about the fiat world

I generally agree with the 2nd part but there definitely is a difference in the quality of life if you have a private yet, a private chef, a yacht or own an island vs. not.
Agreed. One billionaire will be jealous of another billionaire just because they got a few billion more.
