Why don't you create a group in SimpleX to join?

Second this. We outta have a group for some of the cyberpunks/privacy people.

You can create a link 🔗 invite

It's really hard to keep up with all the options these days. I'm afraid we're no longer 'finishing' stuff but continuously start over.

Flooding people with seemingly important stuff to care about. This occurs on social, philosophical and technological level.

I don't mean to criticise but this restlessness just makes me sad.

True, but I think it's largely up to the individual to filter out the noise.

There will always be shiny objects being put on display but no one is being forced to look.

Just as bitcoin took more than 20 years to emerge from primitive ideas, private messaging has taken a long time to develop to where we are today.

Contrary to what people think, development in computing is slower than it seems for certain fields.

Although you are right that many projects are left half done, that's why I insist on SimpleX, it solves most of the problems we have in the current private messengers, it has a polished interface and works really well.

It would be a shame if it got lost in the crowd.

I think the biggest problem with this space in general is adoption by normal people. A private messenger only used by privacy enthusiasts isn't all that useful.

Most people unforrunately either don't care or are unaware of the problems even with SMS.

Okay, now I got motivated enough to try Simplex 🤙 Are there interesting cypherpunk/privacy groups to join?
