I did exactly this today. I even managed to forget my phone, wallet, and pocket knife. It meant I couldn’t take pictures of the kids or my wife having fun, but I have plenty of other memories and pictures from other times. Plus, there were a ton of snakes today on the trails. We only saw the small garter snakes. We probably saw 30 snakes on our 2 mile walk. We’ll remember that. Did the snakes freak the kids out? Nope. My 8-year-old daughter wanted to pick up the snakes. But a single sighting of a wasp sent them running and screaming. It was a good day.
