Loquat season is here in Florida. This is one of my favorite fruits, sweet and tart, it’s a great snack and easy to grow from seed. The leaves also make a great tea. It pains me that people grow this for an ornamental but never eat the fruit. Luckily it works well in suburban permaculture designs for aesthetics, quick growth, and usefulness.
