We really are in the matrix… I started reading/listening to Thomas Paine’s “Rights of Man” and in the first 15 minutes, he described a world very similar to today. Government overreach, the industrial war complex, government-paid media… we are just stuck in a never ending pattern. Ironically, this book was written after the United States Revolution and French Revolution. The very same government industry our forefathers fought to be free from, is the very government that has evolved under our noses.
In the summer, I grow a purple sweet potato cover crop with Seminole pumpkin and cucuzza squash mixed in the front yard, it’s so vigorous it seems like it will take over the house if I don’t chop it back. #permaculture #homesteading #plebchain #grownostr

I haven’t tried a whole lot of harder woods. I pretty much have only used it on long, straight branches from mimosa tree, paper mulberry, and moringa. Maybe it wouldn’t do so well on hard woods.
I used to hate mowing my lawn, but I really don’t mind weeding my food forest. One was an exhausting, useless task, one feeds my family.
Similarly, working for fiat, or stacking sats…

Every home should have chicken companions… or at least every neighborhood. Chickens do this awesome thing where they turn food scraps and other organic materials we call “waste” into delicious eggs and useful compost. We wouldn’t have rising #egg prices if we had better community systems in place.

Ah gotcha. Initially I trained them to this kind of nest box, and used ceramic eggs to train them to the location. It took them a little while to lay in the box every time, but they learned eventually

Backyard flocks need to become more common, and easy for folks to learn to care for. I think a typical family with a small backyard could easily care for a flock of 3 to 4 chickens and feed them yard waste and food scraps, with some added scratch or crumbles. Should be just a few dollars a month in supplemental feed.
