Reminder that Nostr is basically a surveillance tool that you opt into.

There is a plethora of data / metadata that anyone can query, collect, and mine from multiple independent sources.

Be adversarial, this is permanent.

I'm broke and my identity has been stolen many times only for the person to find debt and collection payments.

I'm not worried about nostr. Lol

I get it! I’m not “worried” but people seem to forget that nostr isn’t anymore private or adversarial than other open data protocols and a lot of people act like it is private.

This is why the whole making new comers put a shoe on their head was not smart of the community to embrace and encourage.

Nothing is private, not anymore, unfortunately. It could be mitigated but that would effectively become it's own thing.
