Train travel is exceptionally underrated. Air travel, by comparison, is barbaric.

until you have a 2h delay for no reason

Bulgarian trains are the best. Even when the electrical loco overheats in the middle of the mountains in high summer

Only 2h delay is considered almost "on time" where I live.

Fully agree, as long as you stay outside Germany

The fake privatisation of the Bundesbahn was one of the governments best scams in the last 50 years.

FAX πŸ“

You can only think that if you are not traveling in Germany πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸš‚

GG I was just about to say the same

Despite the haters, traveling by train in Germany can be a joy, too.

Probably a bit like playing dart. You know where you want to head to. You just do not know how long it will take... πŸ˜˜πŸ˜„

If I have time, always take the train for a long journey, way better, airports are a nightmare.

Reading this at an airport KFC πŸ˜‚

Only outside the rush hours when you a place to sit πŸ˜…

Don’t be a commuter and this isn’t an issue. πŸ˜…

That’s why I have a bike to commute πŸ€“ but I like the train outside rush hours for the long travels and just read stuff meanwhile

Agreed. Train travel is much more civil. But they need to figure out the speed and number of stops.

Stopping and starting a billion ton machine every 15 minutes is flawed engineering.

You just have to pick the right train for what you want. Intercity trains hardly stop at all.

Gm

In Germany you feel that right at the station.

GM, I travel by train everyday I go to office and I love it.

The view is also amazing!

I rather travel by train, because you can see the land and the fields being crossed. It's a beautiful experience. πŸ«‚

Much richer, definitely πŸ˜€

correct

If only North America could hear you!

East Coast to West Coast in only 3 days!! Yay!!
