It's an easy fix. Pay for nostr.land or nostr.wine. Set it as your sole relay. I have only heard of such spam.

I only use paid relays.
I can imagine someone new to nostr would get a nice welcome drink of filth not fully knowing how to navigate around the protocol yet. It’s a deterrent.
Whether it’s paid relays or wot, it’s not going to be a pleasant new experience for them.
