Alby is will begin charging for their now-free wallet on January 3, 2025. They will be rolling our explanations soon, or you can tag them nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm and they will explain. It is a good company, great customer service. I just was not using the NWC fiunctions enough to justify keeping it.
Alby's price is a little excessive IMO but I can't afford the kind of hardware I'd be comfortable using as my own Lightning node, especially living in a place where both internet and power have been buggy af.
