My husband got his little drone caught way, way, way up in a tall, tall, tall pine tree.😔. Maybe someday the wind will knock it out of there.

I had the same thing happen. A few hours later it fell out.
Keeping our fingers crossed. He was really enjoying flying it. He said he's gonna go ahead and order another one🙄. Luckily those things have come down in price, alot.
The question is: will he risk getting the second one caught, while using it to free the first one? 😉
We do precision shots with a bag of lead shot on a 100’ tag line to string heavier work ropes up through upper branch sets for falling trees. There’s a method where you can swing 3’ of it in a V between your legs and shoot it pretty accurately. Likely see a vid of the method on YT
I'll have him look at that, thanks.
Here’s a couple methods:
Thank you, he actually looked at another vid showing something similar, gonna try something like that tomorrow.
Baseball + string throw up and over in the vicinity of the branches it’s caught in. Ball lands back on the ground, and then you just keep tugging back and forth on each end, rocking the tree.
Combined with reversing the props is usually enough to knock it out of any tree, no matter how bad.
Hardest part is throwing the ball hard enough and accurately enough. But it’s low-tech and time-tested.
