Remember when we were talking about whether or not social media has had a net positive or negative effect on our lives?

100% net positive.

I have may have a bias or unfair viewpoint because I’ve never had an Instagram or Twitter so Nostr is kind of like my first real experience with “social media” besides like 2 years of MySpace a long ass time ago. And I know nostr is a protocol, but the social aspect of it has been truly a positive influence in my life. There’s kind of an ideal nostr user (at least in my opinion) who is a Bitcoin maxi, maybe does development, and fascinated with privacy. That really wasn’t me and although you all have influenced me to certain extents as far as me having my own stack now and understanding how relays work, I still am not really that user. It has never mattered though, because I have felt nothing but acceptance and encouragement here. Sometimes I don’t know who to thank, the devs or the users. I’m gonna say both.
