I can absolutely relate to all their concerns about hero worship and the like. Also I think it reads like a massive purity test written by someone who is way too overly concerned about what other people are doing.

Not everything is an imminent threat to Bitcoin that needs addressing, not every concern needs a response. The vast majority of opinions in this space are irrelevant and that's a feature not a bug.
