Debian packages are usually stable and well tested versions, but also older ones. It depends a lot on your hardware.

If you are new to Linux, I suggest you try distributions more focused on new users, typically Ubuntu, which is also the one you will find more documentation and community.

Debian doesn't suck, but it needs more Linux experience and you will find more compatibility issues.

Yeah never used it before. Going to try Ubuntu server for now since I don’t know how to troubleshoot very well.

I found a website that had network connection trouble shooting and did some of them. But no luck.
