We need a client side selection/integration for translation.

It feels like something that needs to be embedded natively. So literally all Spanish and Chinese posts just read as English and they have a little identifier as “translated” or something.

Honestly can't tell you how helpful Amethyst translate has been for interacting with people I didn't even know weren't speaking my language.

Sometimes it gets wonky with certain languages but for the most part it's immensely useful my whole time using The Nostr.

Yes it's a so precious feature indeed!

The nostr.wine translation service works great in Damus

Tried amethyst? It's exactly as you say.

Amethyst has this .

In Damus you can use these settings - happy to have you.

It has been explained to me that the libraries for doing this on iOS are not good yet, and honestly Google’s are hysterical at times with how bad they are. I think this will change in the coming 12-24 months though.

works very well on #Amethyst

That’s awesome. I just need to break out my Android and start really using it apparently. I don’t have that on Damus

Switch to android, download amythyst. Two birds, one stone.
