I could see #zaps leading to a more positive & friendly culture in the way that I open nostr and Iā€™m always in the headspace of looking for notes I enjoy to reward instead of being in the (twitter-like) headspace of being prepared to argue or go on the defense about xyz topic

This is true. What's more is virality will be organic by necessity, and that means the people want it, not just that the algorithm approves.
