You can believe and bet that there already is technology in the panopticon that allows elites to be ghosts. They will have their tools that allow them to walk among us without a trace because they need it for "Law enforcement purposes."
This is why I’m not entirely against the idea of DiDs powered by NOSTR for example. YOU decide who has access, for how long and for what purpose and the degree of info shared. And you can deny access. Putting you back in power.
At this point in late middle age, the government (and many others) know exactly who and where I am. I would have to get a new identity, facial reconstructive surgery, and go completely off grid for them to not.
