Technically speaking, yes. It's a loosely defined term that includes any protocol with federation. Relays make up a federated network.

In that case, with the Mostr bridge, we are part of that federation.

Yes. Relays exchanging keys and notes is already federation. Bridges with other protocols is an extended federation.

The fediverse is federated using a protocol called ActivityPub which is complete trash. Nostr doesn’t use this, thus it isn’t apart of the fediverse. Thank god. The fediverse is a shit pit
