It is truly amazing what it promises. It's truth...in a world flooded by noise...the other day at church the Christmas message mentioned something like this...The star over Bethlehem was shining so big and bright over this one city and no one saw it but the 3 shepards...in a time when there was no internet, no tech, the people were still blinded by distractions...just interesting how u think there's so many distractions now but they have been and always will be around. That's where this community comes in grass roots style

The next big thing could be abundant, affordable robots - probably in 50 years

I kind of wonder if it’s actually part of the birth of a series of protocol technologies and new models of organization that will ultimately end human organization via authority (tyranny) and replace it with human organizations via consensus networks.

The internet was the open base layer of communication, Bitcoin is the monetary layer, and I think there will be a handful of others that will come after. Continuing the breaking down the areas of society that we’ve always presumed must be decided by some “authority” and is impossible to find/source without theft, and achieve them in a cooperative and sustainable way.

I just think it’ll take decades of infrastructure and societal change to set the stage for the next great leap to be ready (kinda like bitcoin would never have made sense without the internet). Bitcoin will be the greatest of the stack from an “investment” perspective because it’s the only one where you won’t need to pick a counterparty to get in on the value accrued (ie, you had to pick a winning company in the internet era, potentially losing out on its crazy growth if you pick the wrong one). But it’s possible we could see other protocol shifts that result in change of such significance to compare to the internet and Bitcoin… I mean Nostr could be the start of one, or a foundation that makes “the next one” possible.
