Does anyone love baby ferns (i.e. fiddleheads) as much as I do? They're everywhere in the woods near me now. These are Christmas ferns, named because they stay green up to Christmas, and often much longer depending on the winter. #grownostr

Excellent point! Do you know if all ferns are edible or only some varieties? Have you tried them?
I don't know about other ferns. And no, I have never tried them. I would like to though.
I was always looking for morels when I would see them.
I'm not much of a forager, but would like to get into it more. We do have a garden. What's an easy thing to find and ID that's yummy? The existence of toxic mushrooms has me wary. 🙁
Morels are pretty hard to misidentified. There is something called a false morel, but it doesn't even really look the same and it isn't hollow like a morel is.
