My 2 cents take is: Digital ID could be a mass distraction from something else. Before the covid scamdemic almost nobody knew that a health dictatorship was about to happen. Now too many people know about the Digital ID, which makes it unlikely.
I like this point you’ve made. Distraction for CBDCs, or maybe the intentional lunge into WW3?
