You can shoot a porch pirate anywhere. May be repercussions though

Canada you shoot someone in the back and your toast, doesnt even matter if they were armed or inside your house

Exactly. Am in Canada and we are screwed.

Well I mean legally. 😅🤣

most places probably not, unless they were threatening life

You’re going to shoot someone over an Amazon package?

Someone willing to get shot over a package?.. Property rights apply to more than bitcoin.

Have you shot a gun at another human being, with the intent to injure them?

They can have my polar express puzzle.

It takes all kinds. In my opinion, you forfeit what you infringe upon. If your life is worth risking to violate the sanctity of my home and we happen upon each other in your act of trespass, fail to retreat immediately causing me to fear for the safety of me or mine.. yeah.. you put yourself in a bad spot.

This isn’t about the package.

Have you ever fired a weapon at another human being, with the intent to injure them?

I ask, because when you make that decision, there’s no going back.

I saw the first time you asked.

I’ve been on both ends of this decision. Not that either time you asked really deserved an answer being as its a rather person question. And I’d wager asked without really understanding the impact asking might have.

I didn’t ask to elicit a response. I was asking to hopefully further the conversation and maybe have those who were reading the note think about what we were discussing.

In my books, it’s much harder to keep the sword sheathed, keep a level head, and respond proportionally.

Agree to disagree? 🤙

And some folks can never unsheathe the sword at all..

Agree to disagree. 🤙🏻

It would be more fun to fuck with them and fill a box with a glitter bomb that goes off when they open it.

Yes. Castle doctrine

Never heard of that.

I love it!

Search stand your ground laws and castle doctrine. These apply where I reside.

I absolutely love these laws. I hadn’t heard of castle doctrine. It really makes sense. Canada is completely backwards..

Making it illegal to defend oneself and property can only really lead to violations of each by those that would. I fail to see the controversy in this thinking, but it never fails that controversy finds itself in the conversation.
