This picture is from yesterday when we started mixing in biochar into our compost we plan to use in our garden this year. We are hoping that this helps in our alkaline soils. #notill #compost

We are zone 5 so still a colder climate here in NH but not zone 3. We are new to homesteading and permaculture in general. Hope to learn and build relationships with like minded individuals.
