Does anyone have a good starter guide for miner OS's (and why would I use one over another), and what to consider for options on pools vs .. ? solo mining I guess? What other questions should I be asking that I don't know to ask?
I used to build my own computers, and am used to installing/flashing OS's, playing with config files, etc. but I know virtually nothing about mining.
