Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated:

“Washington has committed a serious violation of the UN Charter and international law by attacking our peaceful nuclear facilities.

Iran reserves all options to protect its interests.”

He further added:

“The United States, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has flagrantly violated the UN Charter, international law, and the Non-Proliferation Treaty by targeting Iran’s peaceful nuclear sites.

This morning’s events are outrageous and will have lasting consequences. Every member of the UN should be alarmed by this dangerous, unlawful, and criminal act.

In line with the UN Charter and its provisions for legitimate self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.”
